I see an old general store that people could go to. The physical setting is a town in Alabama and it looks like an abandoned area. It may look like an abandoned area but there are people around the store. I think this image was made to show how little the people had and how far they would have to go to get something that they could barely afford. In this picture you see some people going in and out of the store. The surroundings are missing from the picture. By just have the general store doesn't give us the chance to see the surrounding area. I wonder how much each thing was in the store. I wonder if poor people couldn't afford it. I wonder where it was located.

I see the field where the slaves would work. I first noticed the all the dead crops.The setting i would say is a field where the slaves would work in Alabama. I think this image was made to show us where the slaves would work to earn very little money. I learn that a lot of people did not have it easy back then and that they had to work really hard to earn such a small amount of money. The workers are missing from this image. I wonder where else they worked. I wonder who worked. I wonder how long they worked for.

I see some of the town. First I noticed the buildings. I would say the building in the picture shown is City Hall. The image was made to show us the town. The people who live there are missing from the picture. I learned that they didn't have a big town. I wonder who lives there. What living there is like and what struggles people have to deal with.I wonder how the people made a living with such little money. Part 2B

I see the people waiting for the bus. I first notice the crowd of people all waiting for the bus. I see the bus and the bus stop and how crowded the bus must of been. I see a strip of store and a hotel. I first noticed the hotel sign. I didn't think that had hotels back then. I think the purpose of this image is to show people there are secondhand clothing stores and hotels. Also, there are pawn shops. This image was made in 1939.
